Hashimoto's treatment
Hashimoto’s disease, also known as chronic lymphocytic thyroiditis, is an autoimmune condition that leads to chronic thyroiditis. This is the most common cause of hypothyroidism. The immune system attacks the cells of the thyroid gland, which leads to a gradual loss of function of this organ. Symptoms of Hashimoto’s can include fatigue, weight gain, swelling, concentration problems, mood disorders, and problems with thyroid hormone replacements.

Thyroid, lymph nodes, salivary glands – precise diagnostics under ultrasound guidance
Fine needle targeted aspiration biopsy (BACC) is a rapid, minimally invasive diagnostic test that involves collecting cells from a suspicious lesion using a fine needle – under ultrasound guidance. The collected material is sent for histopathological evaluation, which allows to determine the nature of the lesion (benign or malignant) and plan further treatment.
In which cases do we perform BACC?
– Thyroid: thyroid nodules, focal lesions, enlargement of the thyroid gland.
– Lymph nodes: enlarged, abnormal-looking lymph nodes, especially in the neck.
– Salivary glands: nodules or thickenings within the parotid or submandibular salivary glands.
